Arrest made in murder of pregnant Amish woman found dead in her Pennsylvania home

Police have introduced an arrest in connection to the dying of 23-year-old pregnant Rebekah Byler that has shaken an Amish group in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania State Police introduced early Saturday morning that Shawn Cranston — a 52-year-old man from Corry, Pennsylvania — has been arrested in reference to the homicide of the Amish girl and is now going through a number of fees, together with felony murder, felony murder of an unborn baby, housebreaking and felony trespass.

Cranston was arraigned Saturday morning and is at the moment being held with out bond on the Crawford County Jail.

On Feb. 26, police responded to a house in Sparta Township, the place they discovered Byler useless, in accordance with Pennsylvania State Police. Byler’s reason for dying has not been launched.

Hajec mentioned she could not consider a homicide would occur in Sparta Township, which she known as a “tight-knit group.”

“The skin world does not get in,” Hajec mentioned. “To have one thing this tragic … it does not occur right here.”
