PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) — Beginning Monday, most fast-food staff in California are getting an enormous pay increase.

The minimum wage goes as much as $20 an hour, up from the $16 an hour for many different staff.

The rise is tied to laws handed final yr and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

There are already experiences of some companies reducing their workforces or elevating costs in anticipation of the change.
