A 29-year-old girl had each of her toes amputated after she was allegedly pushed onto subway tracks in Manhattan and struck by a practice following an argument together with her boyfriend.

The incident occurred round 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the Fulton Avenue Station at Chambers Avenue, the New York Metropolis Police Division stated.

Witnesses informed officers that the girl and her boyfriend had been arguing earlier than she was pushed, in response to police.

The unidentified girl was taken to the hospital. Sources informed NBC New York that she misplaced each of her toes.

No arrests had been made as of Saturday afternoon and the investigation stays ongoing.

Shortly after that incident, round 11:30 a.m. Saturday, an unidentified man was killed after he was struck by a subway at Seventh Avenue and West 53rd Avenue in Midtown, police stated.

Witnesses informed officers that the person jumped onto the tracks, in response to authorities.

Police stated they don’t consider the 2 incidents are related.

Crime within the New York Metropolis subway system has been an ongoing situation. To fight it, Gov. Kathy Hochul stated Wednesday she was ordering a force of nearly 1,000 people, together with 750 Nationwide Guard members, state police and transit officers, to conduct bag checks at a number of the busiest stations in an effort to rid the subways “of people that commit crimes” and to guard New Yorkers.
